About Colloidal Technology

Amp Leaf Colloidal surfactants use a very small particle size and rely on surface chemistry to alter the surface tension of tank water. Surface tension is measured in dynes. Colloidal sprays have a higher absorption rate and the conductivity of spray solutions is greater. This equals more attraction to the plant or grasses being sprayed. A larger surface area can be covered by the same quantity of solution and potentially less chemical usage may be required. Colloidal surfactants increase the work units of each droplet and its ability to suspend the tank inputs and deliver them much more effectively. T.D.S. or total dissolved solids is a result and with a colloidal surfactant the t.d.s. of each droplet is much more concentrated and able to interact with the leaf surface allowing the leaf to absorb the spray solution through the pores of the leaf and eventually transporting into the phloem of the plant. Colloidal surfactants cleanse the leaf follicle upon penetration, enabling leaves to operate more efficiently. This increases photosynthesis by about 30%. Increased photosynthesis results in increased plant sugars, and in turn, new root growth.
